openmpi-checkpoint software package provides high performance message passing library -- checkpoint support, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openmpi-checkpoint
openmpi-checkpoint is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openmpi-checkpoint package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openmpi-checkpoint *
You will get with openmpi-checkpoint package name, version, architecture and description in a table
